Jofre Cullell wins the Shimano Super Cup Massi Santa Susanna. The BH Coloma Team rider dominated his rivals throughout the race and remained untroubled by the battle for the podium. In the women’s category, France’s Léna Gérault stood out from the start and crossed the finish line well ahead of her pursuers.
The race formed part of the Santa Susanna Bike Show, which also hosted the Gravel Ride Tour, the Ebike Tour, the Biking Point International Catalan MTB Cup and the Super Cup Youth. Two days of cycling that established Santa Susanna as an ideal destination for cycling.
Jofre Cullell dominates the race and consolidates his lead in the championship

A spring day with a distinctly summery feel arrived right on schedule in the Barcelona town of Santa Susanna. A glorious day welcomed all the riders who had turned up for the race. The grid was a riot of colour and the race got underway to the cheers of the crowd.
Cullell spread his wings on the start lap and took flight on the first lap. The Catalan opened up a small gap on the group and sent the race into a tailspin shortly afterwards. The toughness of the circuit suited Cullell perfectly, and he set a strong pace from the very start.
Gaps began to appear and the group gradually stretched out. Nathan Cornillon broke away from the chasing pack and gained several seconds’ advantage over the rest.
Cullell dominated the race at will; aware of the gap separating him from the others, he was able to pace himself towards the end of the race. The battle for the final podium places was contested by Mats Glende, Sanciaut Zian, Louis Verdier, Raúl Villar and Eneko Olveira.
Thus, Cullell crossed the finish line to raise his arms to the sky in Santa Susanna and secure another victory this season. The Spanish rider has extended his lead in the overall standings of the Shimano Super Cup Massi and is in top form ahead of the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Cornillon finished second, whilst Glende, Villar and Zian joined him on the podium.
Léna Gérault does everything right and wins the race comfortably
France’s Léna Gérault put in a flawless performance, showcasing her strength, technique and skill. Her resilience was evident when she took the lead in the opening stage of the race. Marta Cano and Iana Belomoina, the other favourites for victory, were unable to withstand Gérault’s attacks and lost ground.
Gérault held her ground and secured the victory. Belomoina and Cano finished second and third respectively, whilst Liehnes and Plagnes Perís joined them on the podium.
Furthermore, Marta Cano has been crowned the new leader of the Shimano Super Cup Massi.
