Jolanda Neff put on an exhibition to take the victory in the Shimano Super Cup Massi Banyoles 2025.

The Swiss rider was superior from the start and imposed a pace impossible to replicate for any of her rivals. Neff was able to overcome everything, also against the discomfort of the mud, which was one of the main protagonists of the day. Ana Santos and Flavie Guille completed the first three positions.

The best riders in the world appeared on the starting grid to battle for the throne of the MTB Cathedral, the Shimano Super Cup Massi Banyoles. The muddy circuit welcomed the riders, who quickly understood that this was going to be a race of endurance and survival. The start -after the last minute withdrawals of Laura Stigger and Jenny Rissveds- took place without consequences.

JolandaNeff opened the wings from the start, took command of the race and pressed the pace. The Swiss opened up a gap almost instantly, a haemorrhage of seconds that no one was able to stop. The mud continued to challenge all the competitors, who had to push their technical skills to the limit, balancing speed and not overdoing it with the risks.

Amechanical problem caused Kelsey Urban and later Greta Seiwald to lose a lot of time.

With Neff a world away, the focus shifted to the chasing group. After Nicole Koller and a missing Evie Richards gave way, Italian Valentina Corvi – U23 – emerged to try to make a utopian assault on the lead. Although Neff continued to increase the lead, Corvi managed to break away from the others and pedalled at ease in no man’s land.

Neffkept turning the cranks hard and headed to the finish line to seal a stunning victory in the Shimano Super Cup Massi Banyoles 2025. Ana Santos and Flavie Guille, both after going from strength to strength, completed the first three positions.

Terza Serkezi, winner of the UCI Junior Series race of the Shimano Super Cup Massi Banyoles 2025, deserves a special mention. The promising young rider proved to be the best of all after winning one of the highest level races on the planet.
